
Last week, VF FFA Middle schoolers competed in our middle school ag academy! They have worked so hard this semester working on identification of animal breeds, plants, crops, and entomology! They received first place team as well as having five kids in the top 10!!! Way to go kiddos 💙💛

Seniors head up the line for HS lunch today. Culinary Arts II serving up hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, soda or water, with some ice cream from the VF Community Foundation as a reward for meeting the shoe drive goal.

HS Regional Baseball: The Dragons will host Regional Baseball and will play at 4:00pm on Wednesday, May 14th. Entree Fee: Adults $8, K-12 $6. No Passes allowed. Reminder: HS Awards Banquet Tonight starting at 6:00pm in the East Gym. Parents please provide a side dish, no desserts. Pulled pork, drinks, and table service will be provided.

Middle School Track has their last meet of the year tomorrow, Thursday, May 8th. This is the league track meet and will be at Pleasant Ridge. Students will leave the school at 8:30 with field events starting at 10 am and running events starting at the conclusion of field events. Due to this being the league meet 6th graders will not be going with the team.


High School Volleyball information!‼
The high school team will have camp this June on 6/2, 6/3 and 6/4 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm each day. Student cost for camp is $25 dollars. Waivers are available in Coach McAfee's classroom.
After that first week summer practices will be on Mondays and Thursdays right after weights until 11:30 am. All team members are encouraged to attend.
Summer league games will be Wednesday evenings JV/C team games at 4:00 pm and Varsity scheduled to begin at the completion (6:30ish). $55 is due to "Holton Volleyball" on the first night of competition. Girls should have a paper handout with the schedule.


Today is School Nurse Day! USD 338 is so lucky to have Emily Esser available to assist our students. Thank you Emily for everything you do for our district!

The High School Athletic/Academic/Activity Awards Banquet will be held on Wednesday, May 7th at 6:00pm in the East Gym. This includes: Volleyball, Cross Country, Football, Basketball, Powerlifting, Baseball, Softball,Track, Band, Choir, Trapshooting, Scholar's Bowl, Forensics, Dance, & Cheer. We will also be handing out Senior Scholarships as well. Please plan to attend if you have a student who is involved in any of these listed above. The school will provide everything but side dishes. We ask that each family provide one side dish. Please no desserts as this is already taken care of. If you have any questions please contact Stacy Cervantez at the high school. Middle School Track is back in action today at Jackson Heights, field events start at 2:00 and running events start at 4:00.This is the last day for 6th graders as they are not allowed to compete at the league meet. Please have 6th graders return uniforms to coach McAfee by the end of the week.

Congratulations to Cassie Frakes who was honored yesterday at the Kansas Governor's Scholars program at White Concert Hall at Washburn. Cassie joined other students from across the state who represent the top 1% of Seniors in the state. Awesome job!
