Reality U was a great success! Thank you to all of our great volunteers that worked the tables: Amy Vessar, Dawna Ross, Mary Jo Hamon, Tiffany Best, JoLina Wildeman, Scott and Renata Nichols, Yolanda Turecek, Alison Olson, Steve Seratte, Jeannie Shy, Vanessa Gier, Kendall Bank, Shelbie Glissman-Morgison, Audra Moore, Marietta Heinen, Gracie Connor, Cash Stein, Susan Grey. We also had several great volunteers from Oskaloosa. Because of these volunteers, our 8th and 10th grade students were able to experience Reality U! Thanks again!

We have had a very strong start to the school year! The Grade School students will be seeing a new resource being utilized with ELA instruction - Arts and Letters. Please watch for information from teachers throughout the year. We will also be utilizing Accelerated Reader this year - thank you to the Rec. Commission's financial support. Continue to watch for information from your childs teacher. Students will be setting goals and working toward reaching those reading goals. We are looking forward to these new additions.

The year is off to a fast start and we are hitting our stride for the Fall 2025 semester. We are looking forward to many events this month, especially celebrating the 100th anniversary of the VFHS building on Sept. 20th. FCCLA will host a BBQ this Friday, Sept. 12th at the home opener for your Dragon Football team. Serving begins at 6 pm.

Your Dragon football team opens tonight with an away game at Horton game starts at 7 pm. Gate is $6 for adults and $4 for students.

100th Year for the HS will be celebrated in conjunction with Grasshopper Falls/Match Day on September 20. There will be tours of the high school and refreshments from 10am to 2pm. 100th year shirts are being made and will be available for purchase. We will have a school vehicle available downtown to shuttle people back and forth. We hope you can attend!

🏐 HS JV/V volleyball at Riverside tonight with KC Christian. Games start at 5pm, VF plays the last 2. 🏐 Games are in Elwood @ Riverside Elem Gym, 204 N 12th Street. Go Dragons!

We still have premium parking available for football in the east parking lot. For $100 you get a reserved spot for all of the high school and middle school games. (This does not include admission to the game.) All money raised goes towards improvements for the football field/track facility.
