
Our local FFA met up with 18 other schools today at the Valley Falls Fairgrounds. Judging contests included Entomology, Land, Nursery and Landscape. Great day of learning and meeting new people!

Your VFHS C Team Volleyball travels to Oskaloosa this evening. Play starts at 4:30 pm, let's go ladies.

The Volley Dragons dropped their opening match last night in three to Horton and lost the second match in straight sets to Maur Hill. They resume NEKL play tomorrow night at ACCHS. We will play the 2nd and 3rd matches with Santa Fe Trail and ACCHS. Let's go Dragons!

About 50 students and community members gathered at 7:00 this morning for "See You at the Pole" west of the High School. See You at the Pole™, is a student-led global day of prayer held annually on the fourth Wednesday of September. Attendees met before school to pray for their friends, families, schools, communities, and nation.

The Kansas Apply Free Days will be held on October 6-8, 2025! This is an opportunity for individuals to apply for free at any of the 7 public universities, 19 community colleges, 6 Technical colleges, and the 21 private colleges in Kansas. Eligible programs include general applications, certificate programs, associate degree programs, and bachelor degree programs. Your Volley Dragons travel to Maur Hill on Tuesday, 9/23 to take on MH-MA and Horton in a NEKL triangular. Games start at 5 pm. We will play in the 2nd and 3rd games (estimated start time 6 pm) vs Horton then MH-MA to close the night. Let's Go Dragons!

Your Dragon Football team dropped a tough one Friday night to ACCHS 26-0. The Dragons return home looking to even their record against Onaga on Friday, 9/26. It is Little Dance Clinic night and we are looking forward to a big crowd showing their Dragon PRIDE! Gates open at 6 pm. Let's Go Dragons!

Starting the celebration of the 100th Anniversary of our High School today! Join us tomorrow for HS tours and refreshments from 10 am-2 pm. School mini bus will shuttle people from the Historical Society to the school. Please enter thru the north doors. Lower north doors are handicapped accessible. Hope you can join us!

Dragons finished 3rd as a team at the McLouth XC meet. Medalists include Brooklynn Schmelzle 6th, Dakota Boyce 13th, Shaun Nickelson 18th. Middle school medalists were Bentley Miller 5th, Kalia Brown 6th, and Kennedy Bozarth 9th.

Give Back to Valley (Match Day) is this Saturday, September 20th from 9AM-2PM at the Kendall Bank Community Hall. USD#338 will have several sponsors and school employees in attendance; all representing a wide variety of school athletic teams, clubs and organizations. Your Lady Dragons picked up a big home win tonight sweeping P. Ridge in three straight sets. The JV ladies dropped their match in three to P. Ridge. Great games ladies!

Pre-K and older students learned about our MIA & POW's this afternoon, received a flag, recited the Pledge of Allegiance, and pulled the string on some confetti "poppers". Thank you to our VFW Auxiliary for presenting in honor of POW/MIA Day.

Happy Constitution Day! Students have enjoyed getting to know more about our Constitution today. Thank you to our staff for their efforts in planning and teaching, and to our eighth graders who assisted students in the classroom.

Volleyball traveled to JCN last night to battle JCN and Riverside. The ladies opened with a strong showing winning in two over Riverside and then took on JCN dropping a hard fought match in three games to go 1-1 on the night.

Varsity and JV VB travel to JCN tonight to take on JCN and Riverside. Games start at 5 pm, we will play in the 2nd and 3rd games. Go Dragons!

Just a reminder that both Tech busses will run tomorrow on their normal schedule! There is no school at USD 338 due to staff in-service.

Lady Dragons ran well at their meet at Lyndon. Varsity Medalists were Brooklynn Schmelzle 6th, Shaun Nickelson 10th, Dakota Boyce 11th, and Alila Brown 1st in JV. The rest of the team helped to pull out a 3rd place finish.
