We received word late today that The Highland Construction Tech classes tomorrow morning would be cancelled. Again this is only for Tech students in Construction Technology at HCC!
Valley Falls USD #338 is accepting bids for Snow Removal. Timeline: October 15, 2024 to April 15, 2025. Applicants must be 18 years old and provide proof of liability insurance. We are happy to introduce another new staff member, CULLEN BRUNER. Cullen comes to us from Benedictine College in Atchison. He graduated this past spring with a degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in coaching. He is currently in the Masters of Education program and is the kicker on the Raven's football team. He has also wrestled for the Ravens. As a first year teacher, he is looking forward to building relationships with our students and his coworkers, and becoming a part of the Valley Falls community. Cullen's favorite food is chicken wings and his favorite dessert is Banana Ice Cream! In his free time he enjoys hunting and fishing, as well as spending time with family and friends in his hometown. Welcome to the Dragon family Cullen!
Our new staff are on the move and working hard to continue a positive learning experience for our students. Today we want to formally introduce BRITTANY WININGER, our MS & HS Language Arts Teacher, who is also sponsoring Drama & Forensics. Brittany graduated from Washburn University in 2015 with a Bachelors Degree in English Education. Her teaching experiences include Jardine Middle School, Oakley High School, Triplains Public Schools in Winona, and Colby High School. She and her family moved back to eastern Kansas at the start of summer to be closer to family, whom they are having a blast with!
Brittany is looking forward to getting to know her students and the surrounding community. When not teaching here, she enjoys reading, writing, coloring and playing with their two daughters, Ava-age five, and Dillon-age two. She might just be found sharing her favorite dessert with them too, which is chocolate chip cookies and a glass of ice cold milk.

Our students had an awesome experience with Reality U yesterday. This would not have been possible without 24 great volunteers. Financial reality sets in as our 8th and 10th grade students participate in Reality U this morning. A gym full of stations included subjects such as insurance, food, utilities, investments, vehicles, child care, and emergency funds. Thanks to the many volunteers who helped with this great event!

VF will play at 8am, then approximately at 9am, 10am, & 12pm. Bracket play will begin after lunch.
Dragon cross country is off to a great start. The girls' team finished first and all runners, boys and girls, medaled at the Jeff West Invitational
