With the changes in volleyball for JV and Frosh (Freshman/Sophomore) here are the updates/schedule for the rest of the season: Thursday, October 7th JV @ JCN Games start at 5:00pm JCN vs Perry Perry vs Valley Falls JCN vs Valley Falls Saturday, October 9th Frosh @ Perry Tournament games start at 9:00am We are guaranteed 3 games in pool play. We must finish 1 or 2 in our pool to advance to bracket. Parents - We need volunteers for a line judge and a libero tracker. Monday, October 11th Frosh (Freshman/Sophomore) @ JCN games start at 5:00pm Only 1 game against JCN as of right now. USD #338 was notified that Jefferson County Health Department received further clarification of the mandated reporting law and will only be asking districts to report positive cases of COVID to JCHD. KDHE and/or JCHD will complete the contact tracing and determine "close contacts". We will no longer be working in collaboration to trace "close contacts" within the district and then share that information with the Jefferson County Health Department.
If your child is determined to be a "close contact" by a health official and ordered to quarantine, the student can follow the quarantine guidelines provided by the health official for "close contact" or opt into the Modified Quarantine Guidelines (https://bit.ly/3Dep0uo) adopted by the USD #338 Board of Education.
If we know that your child has been in "close contact" during the school day with someone who has been confirmed positive, we will be providing courteous communication to let you know. We will simply ask that you watch your child for two or more symptoms.
Starting Oct. 11, USD #338, will have the ability to COVID test any staff or student from 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM. This is an opt-in program for those who may not feel well and have two or more symptoms. With a negative test, the staff or student may stay at school.

Schedule update: High School Varsity Volleyball on Thursday, October 7th, 2021 will now be held at Valley Falls. Game time is still 5pm.

MS Pep Rally on Thursday, September 30 to celebrate Spirit Week, the volleyball and football games Thursday evening, and the NEKL volleyball tournament on Saturday. We saw a lot of spirit this week!
Awesome job at Horton for the boys and girls cross country teams. The Girls finished 4th and Boys finished 8th! Go Dragons!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the HSJV volleyball team will not be playing at the Jefferson West tournament on Saturday, October 2nd. We are currently looking for a replacement tournament.

Tomorrow (9/30), the Dragons will be taking on the ACCMS Tigers. It will be 8th grade recognition for both Volleyball and Football. For VB, the recognition will take place directly between the B team and C team games.

For FB, the recognition will take place at halftime of the game.
6:30 Start Time
In order to accommodate both sports, the livestream will begin at 4:25 with the MSVB games. It will run until approximately 6:15 in order to relocate to the MSFB game which will then be streamed. Here is the link to the page.
