The current main focus is to provide scholarships for dual enrollment tuition or technical college supplies for juniors and seniors who are enrolled in post-secondary credits while in high school. We must finish 1 or 2 in our pool to advance to bracket. Parents - We need volunteers for a line judge and a libero tracker. USD #338 was notified that Jefferson County Health Department received further clarification of the mandated reporting law and will only be asking districts to report positive cases of COVID to JCHD. KDHE and/or JCHD will complete the contact tracing and determine "close contacts". We will no longer be working in collaboration to trace "close contacts" within the district and then share that information with the Jefferson County Health Department.
If your child is determined to be a "close contact" by a health official and ordered to quarantine, the student can follow the quarantine guidelines provided by the health official for "close contact" or opt into the Modified Quarantine Guidelines (https://bit.ly/3Dep0uo) adopted by the USD #338 Board of Education.
If we know that your child has been in "close contact" during the school day with someone who has been confirmed positive, we will be providing courteous communication to let you know. We will simply ask that you watch your child for two or more symptoms.
Starting Oct. 11, USD #338, will have the ability to COVID test any staff or student from 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM. This is an opt-in program for those who may not feel well and have two or more symptoms. With a negative test, the staff or student may stay at school.
