Congratulations to our middle school boys basketball team. They beat the Oskaloosa Bears 48-38 in the Championship game of the NEK League Tournament. They ended the season undefeated! Go DRAGONS!

Today's Superintendent Candidate is John Hamon.
There will be a public reception in the cafeteria at 3:30-4:30.
John Hamon was raised on a farm northwest of Valley Falls and graduated from Valley Falls High School. Mr. Hamon then attended Kansas State University and graduated with a secondary math education degree. Mr. Hamon taught and coached at Marysville High School and Washburn Rural High School for 7 years. Mr. Hamon received his Master’s Degree in Education Administration from Kansas State. He was a building principal for 22 years at Uniontown Junior/Senior High School, McLouth Middle/High School, and Jefferson West Middle School. Mr. Hamon received his district leadership certification from Pittsburg State University. Mr. Hamon is currently in his first year as superintendent of schools at USD 347 Kinsley-Offerle. Belief Statement: Communication and relationships is the key to the success of any district. I will communicate with all the members of the school community in an open and honest way. I will work to develop relationships with staff, students, parents, board members, and patrons of the district. Mr. Hamon is married to Lisa and they have three children and recently had their first grandchild.

We have an excited 4th grader! She was the first to receive a handwritten letter in response to the letter she sent her favorite author, Bobbie Pyron. In addition to the note, she received a brand new signed copy of the book that she mentioned she wanted to read next!

Today's Superintendent Candidate is Shane Clark.
There is a public reception in the cafeteria from 3:30-4:30 PM
Shane Clark is currently the EC -12 principal of Olpe Schools, serving in that role for 13 years. Mr. Clark is also the district's food service director, test coordinator transportation director and school information system/KIDS coordinator. Prior to leading Olpe Schools, Mr. Clark taught language arts for 13 years at Moundridge High School, where he coached junior high football, basketball and track and also filled the role of StuCo sponsor. Mr. Clark is married and has three children ages 17, 19 and 23.

Today's Superintendent Candidate is Rebecca Kramer. There is a public reception in the cafeteria 3:30-4:30 PM .
Rebecca Kramer has worked in the field of public education for 25 years. Rebecca received her Bachelor of Education and Masters in Educational Leadership from Washburn University. She is currently working on a Doctoral degree in Educational Administration at the University of Kansas. Her career began in Topeka Public Schools, USD 501. She taught at the elementary level, served as a district-level instructional liaison, and spent 12 years in building principal roles. In 2017, she accepted a building administrator position in the Seaman School District at Logan Elementary. The following year, Rebecca transitioned to the district office, where she serves as the Director of Early Childhood and Elementary Education.

Littles Cheer Clinic
Superintendent Interviews will be this week - Wednesday thru Friday. There will be a public reception each day at 3:30-4:30 PM in the cafeteria to give the community an opportunity to meet that day's candidate. Each morning we will announce the name of the candidate for that day.
