High School Regional Baseball: The games that were scheduled for today will be played tomorrow, Tuesday, May 16th. The game times will be 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Regional gate fees are adults $8.00 and students $6.00. Valley's game against St. Mary's will begin at 3:00pm followed by Troy v. Wabaunsee.

Due to the rain, the baseball games at home today have been postponed. They will be played tomorrow, but we are waiting on the time due to availability of umpires. We will send out game times as soon as they become available to us.

Congratulations to Tobi Adcock and Becky Penry for completing a college degree this semester. They participated in graduation ceremonies at Wichita State. Our elementary students helped to congratulate them this morning as we kicked off our last Monday of this school year! Have a fantastic week!!

Due to weather the Regional Softball games at Riverside have been postponed to tomorrow and Wednesday. Game times will remain the same for tomorrow as scheduled for today.

Valley Falls Graduation Band Schedule for Sunday, May 14, 2023
12:15- Band Doors will open for band students to come in.
12:30- Pizza and drinks will be served and provided for the students.
1:30- Band members will warm up individually then play through piece once together
2:00- Graduation ceremony begins and band plays for entrance of the Graduates
3:00-Graduation ceremony ends: This event could end earlier or later.
Remember to please dress nice and be ready to cheer on our graduating Seniors :)
USD 338 invites everyone to celebrate the Class of 2023 this Sunday, May 14, 2023 in the USD 338 East Gymnasium at 2 pm. Congrats to the Class of 2023 as they embark on their next step in their life journey!

Project Play Day is a go!! Starting at 1:00 at the football field!
If the weather holds, we will be conducting our kindergarten thru second grade Play Day starting at 1:00 at the football field. Sixth grade will be helping. If anything changes, we will send out a notice. Have a fantastic Friday!
Finals from league track: 4x 400 of Gretchen Hagar, Trinity Seymour, Jodi Heuertz, and Aubrey Hernandez took 3rd.
News so far from league meet: 4x800 breaks their school record again: Carly Henson, Katelynn Yates, Maddison Conner, Amelia Brown. Renay Myers second in long jump. Maddison Conner 3rd in high jump.

Softball Bracket for Regionals
Today is National School Nurses Day! We are so thankful for our ladies Emily and Sandra. Thank you to them and all they do for USD 338!
High School Academic/Athletic Awards Banquet is scheduled for tonight. The banquet will start at 6:30pm. This will honor all sports, band, choir, and scholar's bowl. The 9th, 10th, and 11th grades are in charge of bringing a side dish while the seniors will bring desserts.

Teachers are planning our end of the year Carnival for the 18th. If you are available to help out, please reach out to your child's teacher. Thanks PTO for all of your support for this wonderful experience to end the year! Don't forget, we dismiss at 11 AM that day!
As we prepare for the end of the year, please take a look for any library books your child may have checked out, look through powerschool for any missing assignments that need to be turned in, and return any school items that will need to be turned in such as chargers for Chromebooks. Thank you for your help with these items.

I can not believe May is here. Seniors last day is May 10th and graduation is Sunday, May 14th at 2 pm in the East gym come out and join us while supporting the graduate as they celebrate the ending of one of life's journeys and embark on their next steps. Students last day in the building will be May 18th and summer is here. 3rd grade visited Mrs. Case's class last Friday to partake in a science lesson and to get a feel for what 4th grade is like.
They learned how people had created robots to move like humans by learning how muscles, tendons, and bones work together to move our fingers. The kids were able to make their own "robot finger." They had lots of fun and were able to learn as a "4th grader."
