
HS Baseball/Softball Update:
The games for today at JCN have been canceled. We are tentatively rescheduling for Saturday, April 27th at 11am depending on weather and umpires. We will keep you posted.

The middle school band students participated in Mass Band in Effingham. This gave them the opportunity to work with clinicians and perform as a part of a large band. They sounded great!!!











Happy Administrative Professionals Day to four great ones! Thank you Brenda Lloyd, Becky Nickelson, Dayna Lloyd, and Linda Gantz for all you do for our district!


We hope you can join us for the official opening of our track and Multi-Purpose Building tomorrow, April 24, from 6:00-7:30 pm. We will begin the evening with the ribbon cuttings starting at 6:00, followed by tours and the introduction of our MS and HS Spring Sports Teams and Coaches at 6:30. Throw in some line dancing, punt, pass and kick contests, parachute games, book walk, exercise stations, and track walking, and you have a full evening of fun and activities to get you moving! Valley Falls fire trucks and police officers will be joining us as well. PLUS, we have great door prizes to give away at 7:00 from generous donors AND yummy snacks and drinks to share! All ages are welcome. We hope to see you there!

High School Volleyball Players & Parents!

Tonight we celebrated Senior night for baseball, softball, and track at VFHS. Congrats on great careers, Seniors! Thank you for the memories!



In honor of Earth Day, middle school students cleaned up rocks from on and around the track.








Reminder: our students will participate in Earth Day activities at the Marshes tomorrow. Please wear comfortable walking shoes (hiking or tennis shoes preferably.). Long pants may be best along with some insect repellent. It looks to be a wonderful day!!

VFHS student Carter Pickerell who participated in the Washburn Tech signing day this morning. Congrats Carter and all the VFHS students enrolled at Tech next year!


High School Athletic/Academic Banquet:
Due to the new regional baseball schedule, we will be moving the date of this event. The banquet will now take place on Wednesday, May 1st. It will start at 6:00pm in the East gym for all 9th - 12th graders who participated in any of the following activities: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, Basketball, Baseball, Softball, Track, Powerlifting, Trap, Cheer, Dance, Music, and Scholar's Bowl. We will also award senior scholarships and any academic awards at this time. We ask that you bring a side dish. The meat, drinks, dessert, and table service will be provided. Baseball wins the completion of game two over Jackson Heights 11 to 8. The Dragons are 10-0!

On Monday the Valley Falls Art Club traveled to Horton for their NEKL Art competition. The following students participated, Brody Burge, Damian Cervantez, Zac Evans, Aubre Garza, Abby GrandPre, Wyatt James, Brayson Miller, Clay Kirkham, Jayden Senn, Wyatt Strickler, Lauren Thomas, and Brigg Varner. Each of the students had to choose between an on-site competition or workshop to learn new skills. In addition, a big shoutout goes out to Tim Bickford, and Tina Roberts for driving and helping!





HS Baseball Update:
The HS Baseball game will be played in Valley Falls today. Start time is 5:30pm. This will be a continuation of last night's 2nd game. VF will be the vistors on the scoreboard and the game will be in the bottom of the 2nd inning when we start.
