Thank you Rotary Club for your annual trip to the school with dictionaries for our 5th graders and personalized "I Like Me" books for our 1st graders. Our students loved the books!




Home JV track Meet

On Friday, May 2nd Middle School Track will be assisting with the High School Track Meet at home. They are asked to work during their normal practice time, 3:30-5:00 pm. Athletes will be dismissed from the track as close to 5 as possible. Athletes should check out with one of the three coaches before leaving. Some events could last longer than 5:00 so please understand that some athletes might be helping a bit later.
Today is School Principal Day and a day to celebrate Susan Grey and Greg Morgan. What do they do? Whatever is needed to help their building and the district be successful. They are both extremely talented and work long hours, especially this time of the year. Thank you Ms. Grey and Mr. Morgan for everything you do for our students, staff, and patrons. You are appreciated!

Middle School Track will be back in action tomorrow May 1st @ McLouth. Field events start at 3:30 with running events to start at 5:30. Students received order of events today at practice.
The Health & Wellness Event has been moved from the football field to the east gym and lunchroom tonight. Activities begin at 6:00 pm, with introductions of MS and HS Spring Sports Teams and Coaches in the gym at 6:30. Sign up for lots of great door prizes to be drawn at 6:35 and 7:15. You must be present to win. Free snacks and drinks in the lunchroom, along with bicycle helmet giveaway. Bring your families and come enjoy the night!
Health and Wellness Night has been moved to the east gym starting at 6pm. Entrances open will be west and north triple doors and east elementary door. Please do not enter through the gym. We have many great activities, food, and prizes! We hope to see everyone there!

Free healthy drink & snack options at the concession stand. Visit our local health providers and let the kids burn up some energy on the inflatables. There will be lots to see and do and all ages are welcome. Don't miss out!
Rain or shine, tomorrow is the big day for our Health and Wellness Night from 6:00-7:30 pm.
Location will be determined by weather so stay tuned to find out if it will be at the football field or east gym & lunchroom. There's something for everyone of all ages-Inflatables, Blood Pressure Checks, Dental Info./Balloon Animals, Aerobics, Introductions of our MS & HS Spring Sports Teams & Coaches, free bicycle helmets, great door prizes...the list could go on and on! We hope you will attend, participate in the activities and learn something that will help you improve your health in the days ahead.
Tuesday and Thursday's lunch menus have been switched. Tomorrow will be Spaghetti with Meat Sauce, Garlic Bread, Romaine Tossed Salad, Green Beans, and Fruit Cocktail.
BB/SB games are still a go for tonight. Softball will play in Wetmore and Baseball will play in Netawaka. Games could start early. Plan is to start as soon as umpires arrive and are ready.
Tomorrow will be picture day for some middle school and high school activities. Those included in this will be:

Valley Falls High School is proud to recognize Cassidy Frakes as a 2025 Kansas Governor’s Scholar.
The Kansas Governor’s Scholars Program honors the top academic 1% of high school seniors across the state. Students selected for this prestigious recognition have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and dedication throughout their high school careers.
“Valley Falls is very proud of Cassidy and the work she has done over her time at USD 338 in earning this prestigious award,” said VFHS High School Principal Greg Morgan
Scholars will be recognized at the Kansas Governor’s Scholars Award Program on Sunday, May 4, in Topeka at Washburn University’s White Concert Hall. Superintendents, high school principals, and a teacher of the student’s choice are invited to accompany the honorees and their parents for the ceremony.
