School begins tomorrow for K-6th, 9th, and all new students. Annual K-5 parade will begin at 9:30. K-5 parents are welcome to attend all morning. Hope you can come celebrate another beginning to another new school year! Dismissal is at 11 am.

This is a reminder that tonight we are hosting our PK-8 Back to School Night starting at 6 PM. Students are able to meet their teachers and bring in their school supplies. PTO will be providing ice cream sundaes in the lunch room. Other meetings happening include: Band instrument rental meeting in the band room at 6 pm for 6th-8th graders; 8th grade parent meeting at 6:15 in the east gym; and a 6th grade parent meeting at 6:30 in the east gym. If your student is planning on participating in Fall sports all physicals and associated USD 338 forms must be turned prior to students being able to practice on Monday! Feel free to drop forms off at the VFHS office throughout the day on Monday or they may be given to coaches on-site!

This is a reminder that all NEW students for the 2025-26 school year at Washburn Tech start this Wednesday, August 13th. Given this information, USD 338 transportation will be leaving from the North side of VFHS at 7 am beginning on the 13th. All returning students at Washburn Tech and all students at Highland Tech will begin classes on Monday, August 18th with transportation leaving at 7 am to both locations. Impact testing by Amberwell will be held on Thursday, 8/14 from 9am-12pm and on Friday 8/15 from 1pm-4pm in the HS computer lab. This will be for 6th, 7th, 9th, and 11th grade students as well as any new students grades 8th, 10th, or 12th.

There will be a MS/HS parent/student meeting on Friday, August 8th, @ 6:00pm in the west gym for any student who plans to participate in volleyball, cross country, football, basketball, baseball, softball, track, cheer, dance, powerlifting, scholars bowl, or forensics.
