Happy Bus Driver Appreciation Day October 19th.

A busy day of activities for our Dragon athletes. MS Football has their last game at home at 5:30 v. Oskaloosa. HS Cross Country is at Jackson Heights with girls running at 4:15 and boys at 4:45. HS Volleyball will conclude their regular season at Jackson Heights with Pleasant Ridge also there. They will start at approximately 6:00. Good luck to all of our Dragon teams today!
Middle school girls opened up their basketball season tonight at home. B Team opened with a win. A Team lost a hard fought battle. C Team had an inter-squad scrimmage - Valley won! Cheerleaders were awesome. Our next home game is this Thursday at starting at 4:30.

A previous post stated that admission for middle school activities has been raised to $5 for adults and $3 for students. Something for individuals or families to consider is to buy an athletic pass which allows admission to all Dragon home activities. Prices are $25 for a K-5 student (Grades 6-12 students get in free IF Activity Fee has been paid), $60 for a single adult, $80 for a family w/o children, and $100 for a family w/ children. Please contact the building secretaries if interested in an athletic pass. Another option is a senior citizen's pass. This is for any USD 338 patron that is 65 years and older. Please contact Amber in the district office for a senior citizen's pass. Thank you for your support of USD 338 activities. GO DRAGONS!!
The Middle School North East Kansas League has changed prices of admittance to ball games starting tonight. New gate prices will be $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Dragon Family,
Last night at the USD 338 BOE Meeting: The decision was made by a 6-0 vote
to discontinue the USD 338 Covid policy and to keep offering the testing
option.
What does this mean? Basically going back to previous policies before COVID. If students or staff are sick, they need to stay home. If they would test positive for COVID, they may return when they feel able to do so (symptom free) and would not be required to wear a mask. Household contacts would not be required to wear a mask.
Other reminders - Individuals must be fever free for 24 hours without medication. If sick for 3 or more days, a doctor's note OR negative COVID test (can be administered at school at no cost) will be required.
Please let me know of any questions. Thanks and have a great day!!
