Sorry for the late notice! And a long post alert here but I wanted to make sure the stats were correct before making this post! Here’s a little update on your MSFB Dragons! Our fist game of the year saw us travel to the hosting Jackson Heights Cobras. The Dragons fell short 52-8 against a strong Cobras team! The dragons fought hard with a short handed team without two regular starters but hats off to the 7th graders Brayson Miller, Hesston Turner, Jack Nellis, Damian Cervantez, Grady Smith and Brody Burge for stepping in that game wherever a player was needed. Now onto this past Thursday the Dragons hosted the visiting JCN Chargers in what a classic battle between rivals! The Dragons came out on top with a final score of 42-28! Always tough to play 11 man football but even tougher to do it with 12 guys! Boys came together and played incredible with Monster performances from Flint Seymour with 11 tackles, 3 for loss, a sack and 2 receiving touchdowns. Grant Meyer threw the ball all over the place with 3 passing touchdowns and several big hits on defense. Brady Nellis caused the fumble to put the ball in the Dragons hands to seal the game and a huge performance from Carter Pickerall with 11 carries for 161 yards 3 touchdowns, a 54 yard receiving touchdown and big stops on defense along with a sack! The boys played incredible and will be traveling to Pleasant Ridge this Thursday if you’re in the area and want to watch some football!
