Dragon Softball got the sweep over ACCHS! First game the score was 21-7 and second game was 15-4. Go Dragons! 🐲🐉
The Preschool students went on an all day field trip to The Kansas Children's Discovery Center on Wed. April 27th! The students engaged in various activities inside and outside! They experimented with obstacles, fixing a car, dinosaurs, pully chairs, painting, color wheel, sand digging, grocery shopping, water and etc.! During lunch we got to watch Ms. Slimmer chase off a squirrel while trying to protect and defend our food! The preschool students had a blast!



Due to predicted weather coming in this evening, the starting game times for both baseball and softball is now 4:00pm. Dragons will play ACCHS in Effingham.

Congratulations to the VFW Patriotic Art Contestants!
Jody Burch, Emma Branam, Ashley GrandPre & Addisyn Wilson Addisyn also won $100 from the local VFW Auxiliary 3084 and $100 from the District. Her artwork went on to the Department (state) for judging. All of the girls did an exceptional job on their artwork!
All 4 girls received a $10.00 gift certificate to Another Monday Morning from our local VFW Auxiliary for having an entry in the Patriotic Art contest.

Governor Laura Kelly Signs Bill Designating Sandhill Plum as Official State Fruit
~~More Than 400 Fourth-and Fifth-Graders From Across 24 Kansas Schools Participated in an Election to Select the State Fruit ~~
Governor Laura Kelly signed House Bill 2644, designating Sandhill Plum as the state fruit of Kansas. The efforts to pass this legislation began in 2021 when more than 400 fourth-and fifth-grade students from 24 different schools participated in a process that included writing essays, sending letters to state representatives, and voting to determine what they believed should be the designated state fruit for Kansas.
The Sandhill Plum beat out the Red Mulberry, the American Persimmon, and the Gooseberry. More information about HB2644 can be found here.
