Dragon Families - We need your help! Deadline approaching for counting kids for funding! We are making some headway but still about 20 students qualified for free short of last year! We typically use federal applications for free/reduced lunches to determine qualifications for some of our district programs and state at-risk funding . Due to all lunches being free this year, we have receive a low number of applications. The form in your enrollment packet "Household Income Survey" is an important piece for district funding. Please consider completing the Household Economic survey so our district funding is not impacted. We utilize at-risk monies to support our para payroll, afterschool programs, and Dragon Sparks time in the summer. Completing the application does not mean you have to accept the programs offered to your family but it does guarantee funding for district programs. Eligibility determination will be made according to state and federal established guidelines. Your information is completely confidential. If you have a large number of people living in your home, you might be surprised that you qualify. To apply, families can contact Brenda Lloyd at (785) 945- 3229 or click here to download the form: https://bit.ly/3gGKqYq. The process is confidential. Just mail or bring your application (in a sealed envelope) to USD #338 Valley Falls Schools, Attn.: Brenda Lloyd, 700 Oak Street, Valley Falls, KS 66088. It can also be turned into any district office.

Good morning we have been asked to share with our fans who may attend the Volleyball Tournament on 9/11 in Lyndon. In memory of the 20th anniversary of September 11th, Lyndon High School will be offering free admission to the high school volleyball tournament this Saturday to all active duty service members and veterans. A brief recognition ceremony following the first game will take place at approximately 9:00 a.m. where each service member will receive a special gift. Instead of your school colors, all fans are encouraged to wear red, white, and blue as we come together to remember and mark the passage of two decades since the day that changed our lives forever. Thank you and have a great day! Go Dragons! Mr. Morgan
