Valley Falls Middle and High School FCCLA competed at State FCCLA 4-17 to 18! Nine members advanced to Denver, CO, for the National Leadership Conference and STAR Events!

This is a reminder that all Juniors will be taking the Science State Assessment Tests on Monday and Tuesday this week. Please remind them to charge their Chromebooks, get plenty of rest, and eat a good breakfast.

High School Baseball Update:
The baseball game scheduled for today at home has been canceled due to McLouth not having enough players to field a team. We will try to reschedule at a later date.
The softball game will be played as scheduled with a start time of 4:30pm.

2nd Graders investigated different types of soil today and determined which one was sand, silt, clay and loam. We also discussed which type of soil is best for Farmers to grow their crops.
We have Kona Ice here on Thursday for those students that earned a Kona Ice party with the PTO fundraiser. They are planning to stick around after school until approximately 4:30 for anyone interested in purchasing a nice spring drink - open to the public and students after dismissal 3:30-4:30. They will be located in the south parking lot between the playground and the bus barn! I'm showing a high in the low 80's so perfect weather for a cold slush!
The Valley Falls Rotary Club members John Hamon and Gary Coleman handed out personalized books to the 1st graders titled "I Like Me." The 5th Graders received "A Student's Dictionary."

Spring weather is upon us! It is good to see the longer days and warmer weather. We are wrapping up the State Assessments this month, starting MS track meets, and the staff is planning several learning activities and trips. Watch for updates from your child's teachers.
