Some heartbreak news for Brooklynn and the XC team. Brooklynn sustained an injury to her foot. She was told by doctors today that she may not run at the state meet. Please send your Dragon love her way and let this awesome runner know that we appreciate her hard work and the achievement of qualifying for state. We hope this is fixable and that she will be back strong as ever next year. We are proud of you Brooklynn.

The HS Play is looking for some furniture for the upcoming production on Nov. 15 and 17th. They are looking for 1950s style living room furniture. Regardless if donations are to keep or just to borrow, we will treat them gently and with care. If anyone would be willing to donate some pieces, it would be very much appreciated. Please reach out to Brittany Wininger if you think you may have something to send. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Enjoy the sunshine today and have a great weekend! Here's our weekly update link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1cMgCiVWEhKXLQEQBbh1J__GPOFaa9r8ygWwCHXicTuY/edit?usp=sharing

Pep Rally for our Cross Country Team was yesterday. Brooklynn Schmelzle qualified for the state cross country meet at Regionals last weekend. Despite most of the team running career best PR's, the Lady Dragons fell four points short of team qualifying. The boys ran well too, led by Layne Adcock who also had a career best. Coach Spade is pretty proud of what the team has accomplished this season and is already looking forward to next year! Great job Dragons!

Mores costumes to enjoy. Everyone have a safe Halloween!

Lots of costumes at the Halloween Parade this afternoon.

Red Ribbon Week activities included a "Walk Away From Drugs" Walk-A-Thon at the track on Tuesday. The total number of laps completed by PK-5th grades was 1,488, which = 372 miles! Great job Dragons! Former Washburn Rural Wrestling Coach Damon Parker also spoke to MS/HS students about depression & suicide, and how to get help. On Wednesday, Officer Rivera & Apollo visited grades 3-5 as part of police safety visits. Please talk to your students about these activities and what they learned.

Good luck Brooklynn

Shot clocks are installed. Thanks to our Rec Commission!
