Today is School Bus Driver Appreciation Day! Many thanks to our transportation team as they work hard to make sure our students are kept safe. Thank you Tony, Lisa, Tim, Josh, Brandon, Gary S., Gary C., and Larry for doing a great job!

On Saturday, 15 members of the Valley Falls Trap Team competed in the TCSP Youth Invitational in Manhattan, KS. Taygen Pannell walked away with the High Lady trophy! Other members also did a great job representing our Dragons. Congratulations!

More Muffins with Moms fun!!! Thank you to all the mom figures who were here with us this morning. We served around 430 muffins!! Thank you PTO for making this possible.











Middle School Pep Rally yesterday included our football, cross country and volleyball teams. Loved their spirit and encouragement for others to try a new sport or get involved in a school club if they weren't already. Cheerleaders did a great job getting some Dragon spirit going!


Safe Schools Week helped students and staff know how to respond to various safety drills held this past week. It was also our Anti-Bullying Week, where different themes like Crazy Sock Day to "Sock Out Bullying" brought attention to this issue. Good job Dragon students and staff!

Games start at 9am tomorrow, 10/19/24. Come support your Lady Dragons on and off the court. The volleyball teams will be hosting a bake sale during the tournament while supplies last.



USD 338 participates in the Local Food for Schools grant through KSDE (Ks State Dept of Education). Today our students enjoyed pulled pork that was processed at Diamond C in Atchison. It was delicious!

HS NEKL JV Vollkeyball Tournament:
The NEKL JV Volleyball tournament will be held at VF on Saturday, October 19th. The VF JV team will play at 9:00am in the west gym. Come out and support your HS JV Volleyball team!

It was a good day for Dragon Cross Country. The girls placed third at a tough league meet. All VF runners had a seasonal PR and half the runners had a career PR. Brooklynn Schmelzle placed 4th earning all league honors and Gracie Conner placed 14th earning second team all league. A special shout out and thank you to the volleyball team and all others for coming out today and supporting us. It was awesome to have you all there.
