Pumpkin Math - The students guessed the weight and how many seeds the pumpkin had. Each student grouped the seeds in groups of 10 and we counted 416 seeds total.

The VFHS Trap Team Finished 2nd place in their conference in the Kansas High School Clay Target League.
Brooklyn Correll-1st place and Emma Montgomery-2nd place overall conference high score females.
Dallas Clark-3rd place and Denten Elias-6th place overall conference high score males.
On October 20th the team participated in a day of giving and gathered items for the VF Food Pantry.

Community pep rally for Cross Country team competing at State scheduled for Thursday, October 31st at 3 pm in the west gym. We will conduct a send off at 8:15 am on the west side of the HS on Saturday. Boys will run at 11:45 am at the Wamego Country Club. We hope you will help us support our athletes. To our knowledge, this is our 2nd team to qualify for CC State. The last year was in the late 1990’s. Go Dragons!

Flu Shots Today: Our Nurse, Melissa Erpelding, will be here today from 3:00-7:00 pm administering flu shots in the Elementary Office. Anyone can just show up, complete the paperwork, give her their insurance information, and receive their flu shot.
Murder Mystery Solved...Norman Dadley just confessed to killing Elizabeth. Six drama students participated in a Murder Mystery Activity at Trunk or Treat on Saturday night. They posed as characters from the skit and were questioned by those trying to solve the murder.
