#DragonPRIDE safety measures #11: If the district has a positive test, clear procedures are in place to contact trace and inform those who have been exposed. Dr. Hanzlicek will be working with the Jefferson County Health Department through this process.
#DragonPRIDE safety measures #10: Dr. Hanzlicek is in constant contact with Kansas State Department of Education, Jefferson Co. Emergency Management, and the Jefferson Co. Health Dept. to remain current on safety information related to COVID-19. She will communicate any changes.
#DragonPRIDE safety measures #12: Modifications are being made to recess schedules and specials to support social distancing. Strategies are in place for band and choir to help reduce the risk of spread.
#DragonPRIDE safety measures #9: Alternate lunch spaces will be utilized so students will be social distanced during lunch time.

#DragonPRIDE safety measures #6: Safety includes emotional support. Prepare your student for the changes they will see at school. Here is a short video to help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iu5HamseAE
#DragonPRIDE safety measure #5: Protecting others --If students have two or more of the following symptoms: fever, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, muscle aches, headache, loss of taste or smell, sore throat, runny nose/congestion, diarrhea, or nausea, they will be asked to isolate for 10 days. If they are not tested for COVID, at the end of 10 days, they can return if they have been fever free for 72 hours. Students can return anytime during the 10 day isolation period with a doctor's note or if they are tested and it is negative. During this isolation period, if students feel well enough to participate, they will be asked to engage in remote learning.
