4th Grade finished reading From The Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankwiler and learned about Michelangelo in the story, so we" Channeled our Inner Michelangelo" and colored while laying under our desks similar to the way he painted the Sistine Chapel's ceiling.


Service learning for juniors and seniors was on Friday, Nov. 15. They raked leaves and cleaned the park, helped the adult crew set up for Hometown Christmas, and had a small group work on cleaning up the outside of the town library.

A few of the Valley Falls Band students participated in the Emporia State University Honors Band this weekend and performed a great concert with over 150 other students from across 8 other school districts.


Reminder: Turkey Bingo is tonight starting at 5 PM in the east gym grade school side of our building! This is a great family event hosted by our PTO. Come join the fun!!

Middle school students enjoyed an evening of fun at their Wild West themed dance sponsored by STUCO. Thank you STUCO members and sponsor Mrs. Bergin. Also thank you to the parents that donated games, food, and those that helped to chaperone.





Engineering class had a successful launch and recovery of an egg in their rocket!
The Chemistry, Physics, Physical Science and Engineering Students are going to compete on Tuesday.


Snow Dragons! A group of juniors visited K-State today in the snow to learn about the opportunities K-State can provide. This visit is one of several that students get to experience during the year as they explore opportunities for their future.


Harvesters Project Update - Freshmen and sophomores helped cut and tie bags for produce and also helped make snack bags. Between the two classes almost 1,500 snack bags were made.





Late Night basket items need to be to the teachers or the office by this Friday. Thanks for your support. All funds raised goes back to support grade level activities.

Blood Drive on Wednesday, November 20th, 2:00 - 6:00 PM in the lower level of the high school. Foreign Language Room 101

STEM class studied and built working windmills that were designed to lift weight. We had a lot of design and redesign, trial and error. Our windmills lifted anywhere 5 grams 232 grams. Thank you parents and teachers who donated supplies!
