The PreK-6 and 7-12 Concerts are both tonight in the east gym beginning at 6:30 PM. (The 7-12 concert begins at approximately 7:45 PM.)

Mrs. Spade's PE Class did a “Merry Moving” activity today in which the 6th graders paired with the kindergartners and lead them through a holiday physical fitness circuit challenge.





Miss Fialkowski’s Elf, “Sprinkles”, left an experiment for the students today.




Seventh and eighth grade students filled and embellished “survivor kits” for our local police/first responder appreciation reception. This middle school community service event is sponsored by VFMS Student Council. Local police/first responders and officers with Jefferson County Sheriff Department have been invited to attend this Friday morning’s event and share hot cocoa and holiday cookies with our middle school students.





The NHS had a very successful sock drive. They collected 520 pairs of socks last week for their “Sock’em Dragons service activity. The socks will be given to the VF Clothes Closet and the Topeka Rescue Mission. Thank you to everyone that contributed!

FYI: Pleasant Ridge is conducting a toy drive at our ballgames with them tomorrow night.

Pleasant Ridge girls team is taking donations for toys for tots.

Our PK-6 winter program is rescheduled for this Thursday at 6:30 PM. The 7-12 winter program will begin 10 minutes after the completion of the elementary program approximately 7:45 PM. All in the east gym.

USD 338 will be closed tomorrow and all activities canceled due to the weather conditions. Stay safe and warm!

Valley Falls Yearbook Receives Recognition!
Josten's Representative, Jeff Jasper, arrived at Valley Falls High School with a surprise for the journalism class from last year. The 2018-2019 Dragon Yearbook with a theme of “Picture This” received recognition from Jostens with a National Yearbook Program of Excellence Award. The 2018-2019 Valley Falls yearbook included: Editor Reagan Kirkwood, Assistant Editor Ashley Wenzl, Photo Editor Caymun Farrell, and staff members Laikyn Hawk, Seth DeLong, Nathan Pickerell, Leir Belinchon Zan, Kyndra McGuire, Chase Elliott, Trenton Kraxner, and Aiden Sieve. Annette Ostmeyer serves as advisor for yearbook.
