As the weather and field condition situation with the baseball games for this evening becomes more clear the Sports Banquet originally scheduled for May 11th at 6:30 pm will remain as scheduled. The Sports Banquet will begin tomorrow evening May 11th at 6:30 pm in the East Gym. Please enter the SE East Gym Entrance to proceed to the seating area, currently there are not limitations on attendance. However, we do ask that you wear a mask and practice social distancing from other family groups. If the situation or schedule changes, USD 338 will send out an update as soon as possible. High school baseball tonight will start at 5!!!
Valley Falls Middle School Track Team competed at the League meet at Jackson Heights last week. 7th Grade Boys earned the title of NEK League Champions! Their total score was 107 points. Great Job Dragons!
Sophomore Class Drive Thru Pancake Feed

Tickets: Can purchase from any Sophomore student or Stacy Cervantez
Adult Ticket - $6 - Includes 2 XL pancakes, 3 sausage links, juice or coffee
Youth Ticket - $4 - includes 1 XL pancake, 2 sausage links, juice or water
Pick will be on the west side of the school between the west gym and the parking lot.
PK Grandparent activities planned for tomorrow are being moved to Thursday the 13th. We hope the morning time will be a little warmer and the sun this week will help to dry things out.

School Board Elections
The deadline for school board elections is nearly here! Interested people have to register for this Fall's election by June 1. Board members receive no pay for their service, only the satisfaction of providing an indispensable public service.
The mission of the public school is to educate each child to their fullest potential. The local school board, an integral part of the American institution of representative government, acts on behalf of the people of each community to translate that education mission into reality.

We would like to recognize Angie Tillery for being named a 2020-2021 Smart/Maher VFW Citizenship Education Teacher Award at the State level. She is now competing at the National Level. This award was received by the grade school building in honor of this. Congratulations to Angie. I would like to thank the VFW and Auxiliary for all of their fantastic support and the wonderful working relationship they have with our district. Our students have benefited greatly!
