The summer has flown by and August is here. The 2022-23 school year begins next week with Freshmen and new student orientation on Tuesday, August 16th and the first day of school for all VFHS students is Wednesday, August 17th. Reminder:
Impact Concussion testing will be open Monday the 8th from 10am-2pm at the school.
This is for all students entering 6th, 7th, 9th, and 11th grades playing sports.
Any students and parents who plan to attend Tech this year we are having a short mandatory meeting scheduled for August 2, 2022 during enrollment at 7 pm to be held in Room 101 of the high school (lower level North entrance). We will review expectations and transportation requirements. Please enter the high school from the north side on the lower level (ADA compliant door). Reminder- Amberwell will be providing sports physicals for middle school and high school students during a one day event. Cost is $25 a student, cash or check only. Physicals are required before any athlete can participate in any sport practices.
Athletes must wear athletic attire. Physicals will be held in the West gym on Tuesday, August 2nd from 2pm-5pm.

Construction is underway!
Today construction has started on the building addition. Due to the location of the work, there will be road closures until this phase is complete. We will do our best to keep everyone updated as we have more updates to share. Here is what you can expect as of today;
Starting today, Elm St will be closed at Francis St. / 7th St for thru traffic. A portion of the West parking lot will be open and accessible from Elm St and Caroline St. / 6th St.
District Office doors will still be accessible by walking down Dragon Drive (from the Bus Barn parking lot). Exit Doors on the West side of the building by the fitness room have been closed during construction.
Timeline: July 26th to est. completion Aug 2023 (is subject to change without notice).
The closure is for the PreK building addition.
