We are creating 15-minute sign-up slots to allow students to enter the building on Thursday, March 26, 2020, to clean out their cubicles, desks, lockers, and PE/Athletic lockers. We are creating this sign up protocol to adhere to KDHE and Jefferson County Health Department’s recommendation of no more than 10 persons in an area at one time for more than 10 minutes. We will also be practicing 6 ft social distancing when entering the building at all times. This is to protect our essential staff who are still entering the building each day to conduct the school’s daily business. Each student should bring a bag large enough to carry out all of their personal items.
If a student has a cough, is running a fever, has flu-like symptoms, meets one of the KDHE guidelines for self-quarantine (for guidelines click here) or has been in the Kansas Counties considered on "stay home", please refrain from picking up your items at this time. IF YOU MEET the KDHE guidelines as mentioned above and can’t come into the building please contact the district office at 785-945-3214, or email firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com to make different arrangements for the pickup of the student’s personal items. We need to keep our essential staff safe and healthy, so we appreciate you following these guidelines. Please try and find a time Thursday that works for your family.
If students have a district-owned library book, textbooks, uniforms, or school equipment at home, please bring them back to be checked in. Students will place the items to be checked in on the top of his/her desk or in the locker for MS and HS students.
