Dear Valley Falls Sport Parents,

This year Valley Falls Schools will be partnering with the Play Like a Champion Today Educational Series.  The Play Like a Champion Today Character Education Through Sports program is a national coach and parent educational series designed specifically to elevate YOUTH/HIGH SCHOOL sports programs.

Play Like a Champion Today involves all the stakeholders– athletic administrators, coaches, parents and athletes—providing athletes with the best possible sports experience. The goal of this collaboration is for all members of a school community to work together to make sports at Valley Falls Schools the character-building experience that it is meant to be.  The bottom line: athletes receiving the benefits of the best that sports have to offer.

Valley Falls Schools will provide a Parent Like a Champion Today workshop for the parents of all children playing a sport at Valley Falls. The workshop includes an examination of parent expectations in sports programs. Parents receive resources that will help them contribute to building the positive culture that is at the heart of Valley Falls School’s mission and the Play Like a Champion program. Parents also receive practical guidance on how they can help their children to develop the habits of perseverance, sound decision-making, teamwork, good nutrition, and regular exercise.

The Parent Sport meeting will held on August 8, 2019 from 6:30 PM until 8:00 PM in the West Gym and will include The Parent Like a Champion Today workshop.

Sincerely,

Susan Grey, PK-12 Principal

Cameron Hall, High School Athletic Director

Wyatt Hofstra, Middle School Athletic Director
