9-8-23 Update

September’s cooler weather reminds us of Fall approaching as we long to be outside more with the lower temperatures that refresh our spirits and energy levels.  Our cross country and football teams will definitely benefit from the change in weather.

Want to be an official Dragon Backer?  See details below.  Want to earn some Christmas cash?  We need workers (admission gate, VB line judges, scorekeepers, etc.) throughout the year, so contact the District Office for more information.

REALITY U

A huge THANK YOU to the 26 volunteers that we had for this great experience for our students. Our 8th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students participated this year.  In upcoming years, our 8th and 10th grade students will go through Reality U.

PREMIUM PARKING

Would you be interested in donating $100 to have a reserved parking spot in the parking lot east of the football field/track? You would have a great view of the field! Contact john.hamon@vfalls338.com if interested. We hope to have this lot open starting Thursday, September 14.

FOOTBALL GAMES

We hosted our first football game last night and everything went well, including a big win for the home team!  Congratulations Dragons!  A reminder that patrons will not be allowed on the track.  Thank you for your cooperation!

DRAGON BACKER

Are you interested in helping our school and also advertising in our sports programs? There are two levels of donations.  Black and Gold Club is a donation of $250 and you will be recognized with a business card ad in our sports program.  Dragon Club membership is a minimum of a $25 donation.  This will put your family or business name in the program.  Contact john.hamon@vfalls338.com soon for more information and to be included in our fall sports programs.  Thanks for your support!

DRAGON PRIDE

A message from Ellen Guess: At school we talk a lot about showing our Dragon PRIDE (Positive Attitude, Respect, Integrity, Determination and Excellence) In order to encourage Dragon PRIDE in our K-5 students, we will recognize students with special certificates and weekly drawings. If your child comes home with a special golden certificate that says “Congratulations!”, please take a moment to also recognize and congratulate them on their Dragon PRIDE behavior!  Thank you!!

Trapshooting Team

HEALTH

We have had some sickness going around the school.   Take the following steps to minimize your risk:

  • Wash hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If soap and water is not available, use hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.

  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth.

  • Cover coughs and sneezes with an elbow or tissue. Throw the used tissue away and immediately wash your hands.

  • Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily -- including phones, keyboards, doorknobs, handles and light switches – with an EPA-registered disinfectant.

  • If you are sick, STAY HOME!!
