Please find COVID-19 Press Release (updated 3/14/2020) for the closure of USD #338 schools to include all curricular activities for the next two weeks, beginning March 16th. Only critical staff needed to maintain district business will be allowed in the building. This was not an easy decision. Due to the high number of travelers (students, and staff) and the growing numbers of COVID-19 illnesses in the state, this is what we felt was best for our students and community. Although Jefferson County does not currently have any confirmed cases of COVID-19 and is considered low risk, we want to continue to mitigate the situation by allowing 14 days of time to pass (which is the maximum incubation period).
During this period of time we want to remind our Dragon PRIDE family to adhere to social distancing. Social distancing means staying out of crowded places, avoiding group gatherings, and maintaining distance (approximately 6 feet or 2 meters) from others when possible. Avoid shaking hands or close contact with persons to reduce risks of cross-contamination.
