PTO Meeting

Attendance: Susan Grey, Dee Heinen, Jeanette Shipley, Betsy Young, John Shipley, Buffy Coleman and Laura Kirkwood
Treasure’s Report:
- Ending balance in January: $12,209.11
- Payouts: $2,587.75
- Deposits: $$2,764.87
- Current balance: $12,386.23
Discussions/Issues/Approvals:
- Approved providing water to the students for state assessments.
- Approved donating $500.00 for t-shirts for the state assessments after hearing a proposal from Susan Grey.
- Approved donating $1500 to “After Prom”.
- Approved giving $25.00 per classroom, Pre-K thru 6th, for the book fair. We will also provide $7.00 per child who is not able to personally participate in the book fair.
- Approved providing money to the HS boys for sub-state basketball.
- Awarded the $250.00 Program Enrichment grants to Jolina Wildeman for the Preschool room and Elizabeth Ratliff in regards to an author who will be speaking with the students.
- Given positive feedback from meeting attendee that the gift certificates given to the K&Q of courts dance was a success.
- Received a “thank you” from Ardith Spencer and the Knowledge bowl team.
***THE NEXT SPRING CARNIVAL MEETING WILL BE AT 7PM ON 3/10/08 IN THE COMMONS AREA.
***The next PTO meeting will be 3/10/08 at 6 pm in the lunch room. All parents and teachers are welcome to attend.
