PTO November Minutes
November 2007
Attendance: Betsy Schmelzle, Jeanette Shipley, Trista Gish, Susan Grey, Buffy Coleman, Heidi Pickerell and Laura Kirkwood
Treasure’s Report:
- Ending balance in Oct: $10,597.91
- Payouts: $8203.71
- Deposits: $2,186.00
- Current balance: $4,580.20
Discussions/Issues/Approvals:
- Discussion on PTO Bi-laws. Voting on bi-laws will occur at the January meeting. We are attempting to locate the former bi-laws.
- Approved spending guidelines: Maximum of $50.00. If need further money, will need approval of PTO officers.
- Discussed fundraiser, all but a quarter of the funds have been collected.
- Approved providing treats to each “Community Night” event.
- Approved the following for Christmas expenditures:
- $200.00 given to each grade, Pre-K-12th
- $500.00 for gifts from PTO to children
- Approved $300.00 to the AR store.
- Suggestion made to set a flexible budget for the beginning of each PTO year.
- Received “Thank You” notes from the teachers in grades K-2nd for the pop and water at PT conferences. Received “Thank You” from the pep club and VFEA.
***THERE WILL BE NO PTO MEETING IN DECEMBER. HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!
***The next PTO meeting will be 1/14/2008 at 6 pm in the lunch room. All parents and teachers are welcomed to attend.
