PTO Meeting

Treasure’s Report:
- Ending balance in August: $8,818.42
- Payouts: $471.17
- Deposits: $399.81
- Current balance: $8,747.06
Discussions/Issues/Approvals:
- Suggestion made for PTO financial records to be audited periodically.
- Reviewed handbook for concession stands. All workers will have access to direct them on set up and clean up.
- Approved purchase of coffee pot and microwave for concession stand.
- Approved to provide half the cost of payment to adult for childcare during “Love and Logic” classes.
- Discussed and approved the special education classroom to be privy to all awards, gifts, programs, etc offered by PTO to all other classrooms and groups.
- Approved offering Fall “Program Enrichment Grant”, applications due 10/6/08 in order to discuss at the 10/13/08 meeting.
- Approved request to provide funds for registration fees for HS boys choir participants for activity at KSU.
- Approved $500.00 budget for the PTO “Turkey Bingo” event being held on 11/1/08.
- Discussed PTO fundraiser “Kick Off” for 9/15/08.
- Approved providing funds for “Walk Your Kid to School” day.
- Approved providing coupons and flower payment (HS) for all “parent nights”.
- Approved requests by Katie Peintner for a) gift certificates for Homecoming dance, b) pizza party to the HS class who shows most spirit during spirit week and c) $50.00 to the winner of the HS float contest during Homecoming.
- Received “Thank You” notes or e-mails from 5th grade teachers for providing water to students during MAP testing, a $50.00 donation from 4-H concession stand committee for allowing them to use the cheese machine during the fair and from the PreK-K teachers for providing balloons and pencils to the new students on the first day of school.
***The next PTO meeting will be 10/13/08 at 6 pm in the lunch room. All parents and teachers are welcome to attend.
